Report on military base realignment and closure posted online

A report produced by an LBJ School policy research project team for the Congressional Research Service in 2004-05 has been published online in the LBJ School’s Special Project Report series.

The report, called Economic Impact of Rural Military Base Realignment and Closure, looks at redevelopment strategies used by a selected group of rural communities throughout the United States to respond to base closures or realignments.

The project was directed by Kenneth Matwiczak as part of the LBJ School’s research agreement with the Congressional Research Service. The report is available for free electronic download at
