RGK Center receives $100,000 Moody Foundation grant

The Moody Foundation of Galveston has awarded a $100,000 grant to the LBJ School’s RGK Center for Philanthropy and Community Service that will be used to establish the Frances Moody Newman Distinguished Lecture Series.

“The funds will allow the RGK Center to bring to the LBJ School a prominent expert or leading practitioner from the nonprofit sector,” said Peter J. Frumkin, RGK Center director. “As part of his or her visit to the LBJ School, each Moody Lecturer will deliver a speech that will be open to the entire UT community on a topic of broad interest related to philanthropy, the nonprofit sector or volunteerism.”

The first Frances Moody Newman Lecturer will arrive on campus next fall.
