In cooperation with the German Consulate General Houston, the Lyndon B. Johnson School of Public Affairs will host an exhibition entitled "Environment, Conflict and Cooperation," which addresses the consequences of global environmental change. The exhibition was developed by Adelphi Research, Adelphi Consult and Weltformat.Design at the initiative of the German Foreign Ministry.

With displays about climate, water and resources as well as peacemaking and conflict mitigation, the exhibit addresses a range of complex issues. The goal is to demonstrate how scarcity of resources and destruction of the natural environment can lead to security threats and conflict. By cooperating and emphasizing sustainability, however, peace can have a better chance of success.

The display is free and open to the public.
