Amelia Altz-Stamm received her Bachelor’s Degree from Princeton University in Near Eastern Studies and subsequently worked for three years as a Lebanon media analyst. She then obtained her Master’s Degree in Middle Eastern Studies from the American University in Beirut, Lebanon and wrote her thesis on water management in Lebanon. In the year prior to coming to the LBJ School, she completed a year-long, intensive Arabic program at the Institut Francais du Proche-Orient in Damascus, Syria. Her main research interests are water management and administration in the Middle East, specifically in Jordan’s water sector. Outside interests include running, swimming, hiking and traveling.
