James Hasik is a fifth-year PhD candidate at the LBJ School. At Texas, he is a William Powers Fellow, and a Graduate Fellow at the Clements Center for National Security. Jim is also a nonresident Senior Fellow for Emerging Defense Challenges with the Brent Scowcroft Center on International Security at the Atlantic Council. Since September 2001, he has been researching and writing about global security challenges and the economic enterprises that provide the tools to address them. Jim holds an MBA in business economics from the University of Chicago, and a BA in history and physics from Duke University.
