Jim Hasik is a fifth-year PhD candidate in the LBJ School. Concurrently, he serves as a non-resident senior fellow in the Brent Scowcroft Center for International Security at the Atlantic Council, where he is the editor and primary author of the blog The Defense Industrialist. Jim is also the author of two books: Precision Revolution (Naval Institute Press, 2002), and Arms and Innovation (University of Chicago Press, 2008). He holds an MBA in business economics from the University of Chicago, and a BA in history and physics from Duke University. At Texas, he is a Williams Powers Doctoral Fellow, and a Graduate Fellow in the Clements Center on National Security.
