Leonard O'Bryon

Larry O’Bryon is a PhD student in the Public Policy program at the LBJ School of Public Affairs, where his research interests include US foreign policy and national security, East Asian and Middle East affairs, international finance, and US economic and fiscal policy. His dissertation plans to review the economic interdependencies of the US and China, and how these influence US foreign policy and security decision-making. Previously, he worked for over twenty years in international engineering & construction, and investment banking with Bechtel and JP Morgan, including ten years in Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. Larry has an MA in Global Policy Studies with a concentration in Security, Law, and Diplomacy from the University of Texas LBJ School of Public Affairs, and a BS in Engineering from Stanford.
