LBJ School Portfolio Programs
UT portfolio programs provide opportunities for students to obtain credentials in a cross-disciplinary academic area while completing their requirements for a master's degree. Portfolio programs themselves are not degree program such as the LBJ Masters of Public Policy or Masters in Global Policy Studies. The be elgibile for admissions into a portfolio program you must be currently enrolled in a recognized UT degree programs. Unlike specializations, your successful completion of a protfolio program will be recognized on your offical transcript.
Currently, the Office of Graduate Studies recognizes twenty-four portfolio programs run by schools and colleges. The LBJ School partners with the College of Fine Arts in the Arts and Cultural Management and Entreprensurship program. The LBJ School and the RGK Center for Philanthropy and Community Service jointly sponsor the Portfolio Program in Nonprofit Studies. Portfolio Program in Arts and Cultural Management and Entrepreneurship
The Portfolio in Arts and Cultural Management and Entrepreneurship is a certification program that provides students with cross-disciplinary theoretical and practical training related to the management and governance of arts and cultural organizations, and/or the business dimensions of an entrepreneurial artistic career.
Portfolio Program in Nonprofit Studies
The Portfolio Program in Nonprofit Studies is an academic certificate program that provides an interdisciplinary approach to the study and research of philanthropy, volunteerism and nonprofit management. The program is open to all graduate-level students at The University of Texas at Austin.
