With over thirty years of experience with the State of Texas, Pat Tucker feels privileged to have worked on behalf of the children of Texas and those who are less fortunate. Her ultimate goal for training over the years was to help staff learn to meet the challenges of their jobs and to perform using good management skills.
For twenty-five years she worked for the Texas Youth Commission in various positions from managing a parole office and contract care programs to the Interstate Compact Administrator for Juveniles in Texas, and as the Assistant Director of Training. The last five years of state government was spent at the Texas Department of Protective and Regulatory Services as a management trainer and Director of Management Training. While at Texas Youth Commission, Pat was on loan to the Governor’s Center for Management Development as a management trainer.
She is presently retired from state government and on contract with the Governor’s Center for Management Development. She has also established two businesses in which she is actively involved.
