30th anniversary fellowship endowment established

In order to raise the level of fellowship support available to incoming students, the LBJ School is coordinating a campaign for a new endowment in honor of the School's 30th anniversary.

The 30th Anniversary Fellowship Endowment campaign is part of the School's annual fund program, which now devotes all contributions to student fellowship endowments. To support the program this year, the LBJ Foundation has offered to match all contributions made through August 2002 on a dollar-for-dollar basis up to a total of $100,000.

According to Dean Ed Dorn, an increase in fellowship aid is necessary in order to attract a diverse, high-quality student body and in order to remain among the nationally ranked schools of public affairs.

Letters soliciting support for the annual fund drive were sent in December to all LBJ School graduates. For more information, please contact Joe Youngblood at 512/471-2760 or via e-mail at jyoungblood@mail.utexas.edu.
