Research & Centers
The LBJ School of Public Affairs has a nationally recognized program
of policy research that is dedicated to finding practical, innovative
solutions to public problems and to deepening our understanding
of the public policy process. Through policy centers and curriculum-based
research projects, faculty and students tackle many of the issues
facing our nation's governments: how to control the spiraling cost
of public services while maintaining an adequate safety net for
those in need; how to empower residents of inner cities to revitalize
their neighborhoods; how to balance environmental concerns with
economic development goals. Many of the School's centers also sponsor
a range of other activities, including conferences, workshops, and
publications.
