Texas Home Visiting Program (THVP) Evaluation – Home Visitation programs are a major effort on the part of the federal government to improve child and family outcomes and reduce the incidence of child abuse and neglect. The Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) contracted LBJ faculty and staff to evaluate the development of a comprehensive early childhood system across seven counties in Texas. The goal of the THVP is to offer families with young children access to uninterrupted, comprehensive services through home visiting programming.  HHSC is also incorporating three additional interventions into the roll-out of the THVP.
