The RGK Center welcomed seven doctoral students as the inaugural RGK Center Summer Fellows.
Modeled on the success of the JDR III program formerly hosted by Yale University’s Program on Nonprofit Organizations, the Summer Fellows Program explored pressing issues in the world of nonprofit organizations, voluntary action, philanthropy and international civil society.
The Summer Fellowship Program was held May 26-June 20, 2008 at the University of Texas at Austin and was facilitated by Peter Frumkin, the Director of the RGK Center for Philanthropy and Community Service.
Students took part in an intensive four-week seminar culminating in the completion of papers for the RGK Center's new working papers series. Students arrived with a draft paper hat was expanded and refined during the term of the fellowship.
