The client for this PRP is the Texas High School Project (THSP). THSP is a public/private collaborative that aims to ensure that all students graduate from Texas high schools college or career ready. To this aim, they have invested considerable resources in Texas schools and one such effort has been to completely transform schools. While these efforts have had mixed results, there are several schools that were hugely successful in their turnaround efforts. In this PRP, we will select 3 or 4 of these successful models and investigate what changed over the course of the turnaround efforts that led to the success. We will look deeply within the school, draw comparisons across schools to understand if these efforts can be brought to scale, and make policy recommendations that THSP, TEA, and other stakeholders are anxious to implement.
