In 2012, the LBJ School's RGK Center for Philanthropy and Community Service sent a team of student scholars to Haiti to study ways to bring water utilities to a small mountain community. The LBJ School welcomed its largest incoming class ever during orientation week. Renowned Philanthropist and LBJ Foundation Board Member Bernard Rapoport  died at the age of 94 in April 2012.
