Workshops

All entering students are required to attend two orientation workshops at some point before the fall semester begins. These workshops provide important information about services and regulations at the LBJ School. Attendance at these workshops also triggers important processes such as the establishment of official e-mail accounts and building access card.

These workshops are offered throughout Camp LBJ as well as during orientation week. Each student need attend each workshop once only.



A. Computer Lab Orientation (3.109)

Wednesday, July 14  2:00 - 3:00 pm
  repeated Monday, July 19 & 26th  2:00 - 3:00 pm
  repeated Monday August 2  2:00 - 3:00 pm
 
Please pick one time slot to attend. This orientation introduces students to basic rules and procedures at the LBJ computer lab and to computing resources at the School. Completion of this session is required for LBJ e-mail account, building access card and UT-ID card.
 

B. Library Orientation (Wasserman Library)

Wednesday, July 14  3:00 - 4:00 pm
  repeated Monday, July 19 and 26th  3:00 - 4:00 pm
  repeated Monday August 2  3:00 - 4:00 pm
 
 
Please pick one time slot to attend. The Librarian for the Wasserman Public Affairs Library will give a guided tour and explain the logistics of using library resources. He will also answer general questions about the library in this orientation. Temporary library privilege at the Public Affairs Library will be set up after attendance.
