Instructions: (1) After you and your selected readers have agreed upon your proposed work, fill out and sign the approval form. Please indicate UT department for readers who are not with the LBJ School.

(2)Committe members for students in the regular program: You must chose a 1st reader from the current GSC list(Graduate Studies Commmittee). Members of this committee are all tenured or tenure-track faculty.

Committee members - 2nd readers. For the regular program, you may choose a reader from the LBJ faculty (GSC or visiting), other UT faculty, or a person from outside the University (see 3 below).

(3) If your 2nd reader is not a UT professor, you will also need a Curriculum Vita and a letter stating the reader's willingness to serve at no expense to the University.

(4) Choices for dual degree readers are more specific.

Students in Communication, Engineering, and Area Studies must use GSC committee members. The first reader must come for a department that has a thesis requirement; the second from the LBJ school. If there is a PR requirement, then the first reader can come from either department and the second reader from the department not chosen for the 1st reader.

Students from Law or Business must choose a GSC faculty member from the LBJ school as the first reader. The 2nd reader is chosen from the student's other department.

(4) Placed signed form plus CV and letter (if needed) in drop-box outside of OSAP.

(4) After approval of Coordinator or Adviser, the form will be placed in your file. Related CV's will be sent to OGS on their requested date.
