Crisis Management
Description: PA 195G Crisis Management. This course integrates across the various core components of the MGPS curriculum and draws on the substantive knowledge that students have developed through their specialization coursework. Students will gather several times in the normally scheduled class period for organizational meetings – assigning roles and planning preparatory research and writing assignments. Twice during the semester, students will participate in a crisis simulation exercise, role-playing professional staffers to aid decision-making principals played LBJ School faculty and/or outside guests. One of the simulations will focus on internal decision-making in the United States (with governmental and non-governmental roles); the other will focus on international negotiations to respond to a global policy problem.
