The following instructors, listed in alphabetical order, have worked or are working with the TIPPS curriculum:

Rick Bradstreet

Rick has twenty-three years of experience with law enforcement. He recently retired as a Psychologist for the Austin Police Department where he focused his work on training and assisting officers. He has written numerous publications and teaches the Conflict Prevention and Management and Ethics and Integrity in Law Enforcement courses.

Mark Busbee

Mark has over twenty-four years of law enforcement experience and is currently a Sergeant at the Boerne Police Department. He is in charge of the Criminal Investigation Division and instructs a variety of courses for the department. He has completed coursework towards a Master's Degree in Justice Administration. Mark teaches the Supervising Problem Solvers and Ethics and Integrity in Law Enforcement courses.

Deidra Davidson

Deidra has over eight years of mediation experience and four years working with law enforcement. Her current position as Director of Training and Community Relations at the Dispute Resolution Center has focused her work to a variety of conflict resolution arenas. She is also a facilitator, trainer, mediator, and interpreter for the deaf. Deidra teaches the Community Policing and Problem Solving, Conflict Prevention and Management, Community Policing to Reduce Domestic Violence and Ethics and Integrity in Law Enforcement courses, including many of the Train the Trainer courses.

Judi Diebel

Judi is currently a Sergeant at the Alice Police Department where she is the training coordinator for the department. She has twelve years experience in law enforcement and is a Master Peace Officer and certified Instructor. Judi teaches the Managing Homeland Security Meetings, Homeland Security: What Do We Tell the Public?, Supervising Problem Solvers and Ethics and Integrity in Law Enforcement courses.

Andrew Dixon

Andy has eight years of experience with law enforcement and is currently a District Representative with the Austin Police Department. In addition to prior experience in patrol services, he specializes in accident investigations, field sobriety testing, and has expertise in Community Policing instruction. Andy teaches the Community Policing and Problem Solving curriculum.

Deborah Dugger

Deborah has been involved in law enforcement since 1993 at the Cedar Park Police Department where she is currently a Sergeant working in Professional Standards and Training. She has served in numerous divisions including patrol, criminal investigation, and Internal affairs. Deborah teaches the Ethics and Integrity in Law Enforcement curriculum.

Lanny Evans

Lanny is currently a Reserve Deputy for the Lubbock County Sheriff's Office and an instructor for the Lubbock County Sheriff's Office Academy. He has over thirty-three years of experience in law enforcement and held the rank of Lieutenant at the Clay County Sheriff's Office. Lanny teaches the Ethics and Integrity in Law Enforcement class.

Yolanda Eslinger

Yolanda has five years of experience with crisis support and is currently a professional counselor at the Austin Police Department Victim Services Division. She has worked closely with detectives and other law enforcement personnel in family violence cases. Yolanda teaches the Community Policing to Reduce Domestic Violence course.

Theresa Leftwich

Theresa has over ten years of experience working with victims of family violence and sexual assault. She has a degree in Psychology and is currently Executive Director of the Williamson County Crisis Center, a nonprofit agency serving victims of family violence and other violent crimes. Theresa teaches the Community Policing to Reduce Domestic Violence course.

Ian (Buddy) Lovestock

Buddy Lovestock retired from the Bexar County Sheriff's Office in San Antonio as a Deputy Chief after almost 30 years in law enforcement. He presently is employed by the University Health Systems in the Protective Services Division. He has expertise in criminal investigation, crime prevention, and served as a Patrol Commander for the Bexar County Sheriff's Office. Buddy teaches the Ethics and Integrity in Law Enforcement curriculum.

Delpha G. Martin

Delpha has been a trainer and facilitator for over twelve years and currently on staff at the TIPPS office as the Program Coordinator. She has trained law enforcement audiences all over the state of Texas for over four years in a variety of curricula including Community Policing and Problem Solving, Conflict Prevention and Management, Community Policing to Reduce Domestic Violence and Ethics and Integrity in Law Enforcement.

Mark Mattick

Mark serves as the Fire Marshall at the Boerne Police Department. A certified Fire Fighter and EMT, Mark brings to TIPPS over twenty-five years of experience in different areas of Public Safety. Mark is also coordinator of Emergency and Risk Management for the city. Mark teaches the Homeland Security: What Do We Tell the Public? course.

Gary Miller

Gary has twenty-seven years of experience in law enforcement most recently as the Chief of Police for the Boerne Police Department. He has experience in patrol, investigation, management, and administration. Gary instructs the Ethics and Integrity for Law Enforcement curriculum.

David Morgan

Chief Morgan has over twelve years of law enforcement experience most currently with the Georgetown Police Department as the Chief of Police. His areas of expertise included criminal investigation, patrol and Commander of Patrol (as a Lt.) before becoming Chief. Chief Morgan teaches the Community Policing and Problem Solving class as well as the Ethics and Integrity in Law Enforcement curriculum.


Eric Oakmon

Eric has twelve years of law enforcement experience most currently with the Austin Police Department. His areas of expertise include patrol officer, Neighborhood Center Officer, DARE officer, District Representative, crime prevention specialist, certified drug educator, and now as a TIPPS instructor. Eric teaches the Community Policing and Problem Solving, Conflict Prevention and Management, Community Policing to Reduce Domestic Violence and Ethics and Integrity in Law Enforcement courses.

Travis Rogers

Travis has seven years experience in law enforcement and is currently a Sergeant assigned to the Jail Division of the Lubbock County Sheriff's Office. He has extensive experience in law enforcement procedures and legal aspects and firearms instruction. Travis teaches the Community Policing to Reduce Domestic Violence course.

Kevin Stofle

Kevin has twenty three years of law enforcement experience and has spent the last twenty years with the Georgetown Police Department where he currently serves as the Assistant Chief of Police. He has served in every Division of the Department including Commander of Patrol, Professional Standards, Administration, and the Communications/Records Divisions. Kevin currently teaches the Understanding Community Policing and Problem Solving, Conflict Prevention and Management, Supervising Problem Solvers, Community Policing to Reduce Domestic Violence, and Ethics and Integrity in Law Enforcement courses.

Todd Terbush

Todd has over fourteen years of experience in law enforcement and is currently a Lieutenant at the Georgetown Police Department where his role is Bureau Commander assigned to Professional Standards. Some of his responsibilities include Internal Affairs investigations, maintaining training requirements, and recruiting. Todd instructs the Ethics and Integrity in Law Enforcement and Conflict Prevention and Management courses.

 

Rachel Wilson

Rachel has over five years of training experience and nine years in advocacy work currently working with the Austin Police Department Victim Services Division. She specializes in trauma counseling (family violence, sexual assault and crisis situations). Rachel teaches the Community Policing and Problem Solving and Community Policing to Reduce Domestic Violence classes.
