Travel
The University of Texas at Austin (UT/Austin) will be providing van shuttles to and from the Radisson Hotel and Hawthorn Suites and UT/Austin. Shuttles will run in the morning to bring you to the conference and once again when the afternoon sessions have ended so you can return to the hotel.
Numerous options exist for traveling from the airport into Austin for participants flying into the Austin airport. The Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (ABIA) is located approximately 9 miles (20 minutes travel time) from the hotel, which is in the downtown area.
UT/Austin will most likely NOT be running a shuttle service to and from Austin Bergstrom International Airport (ABIA). If participants' arrival and departure plans are sufficiently clustered together, we may be able to bring in a group of speakers, so you can avoid a shuttle or taxi fee, as discussed below. If you can inform us of your arrival and departure plans, we will do what we can to help.
Rental Cars
Rental cars are available on-site at ABIA. Go to the rental car counters in the lower level baggage claim area. Parking at the University of Texas is restricted; the closest available paid parking at the conference site is available in the San Jacinto Garage.
Taxi Service
Taxi service to the downtown area is approximately $30.00 one way. Multiple passengers can be accommodated in each taxi.
SuperShuttle
The least-cost option is taking the SuperShuttle. The SuperShuttle ground transportation vans departs from the lower level baggage claim area approximately every 10 to 20 minutes, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m. Outbound reservations from the airport are not necessary. SuperShuttle service in Austin is available on a first-come, first-serve basis at ABIA. The one-way cost is $12 to the Radisson Hotel and the round-trip cost is $21. Tickets may be purchased from the driver; major credit cards are accepted. To get back to ABIA from the hotel, please call 512-258-3826 24 hours in advance for shuttle reservations.
