Description: Dr. Jane Holl Lute is the United Nations Assistant Secretary-General for Peacekeeping Operations. She has extensive operational experience with peacekeeping both at the UN and on the staff of the U.S. National Security Council, which she combines with an analytical perspective honed as the head of the Carnegie Commission on Preventing Deadly Conflict. She holds a Ph.D. from Stanford and a J.D. from Georgetown. In this presentation, she discussed "Current Challenges in UN Peacekeeping."
