Welcome to the Writing Center
The Writing Center offers graduate students enrolled at the LBJ School of Public Affairs individualized assistance at any stage of the writing process. The Center also hosts a series of ongoing seminars on specialized topics.
Communicating Policy seminars introduce genres common to public affairs and help students acquire the necessary skills to produce successful documents. Professional Report Design seminars assist second-year students with all aspects of the Professional Report and thesis writing process. In addition to offering seminars, the Writing Instructor consults with students on academic, professional development, and career materials.
The Writing Center encourages critical reflection and prepares writers to make effective decisions about their writing.
