The University of Texas at Austin community will come together on the last day of classes for the fall semester to sing “Songs of the Season!” Choral ensembles, led by Dr. James Morrow, will assemble on the west steps of the Main Building to lead the crowd of students, faculty and staff in singing festive holiday songs. Orange Santa will be present with a hollow replica of the Tower that will be filled with toys for a program to benefit families of the university community with special needs during the holiday season.

Dana Center helps science, math educators prepare for new TAKS exam

The Charles A. Dana Center at The University of Texas at Austin will host two events to help Texans prepare for the new statewide public school exam. The new test is called the Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills (TAKS) exam and replaces the old TAAS exam, beginning in the spring of 2003. Both sessions are free and open to educators and the public.
