Survey results show community colleges challenged to engage diverse, multitasking students

Results of a University of Texas at Austin survey of 92,000 community college students show that only around a quarter of students who intended to complete an associate degree or obtain a certificate at a community college did so in six years and that this may be due to the fact that the student body is remarkably diverse, 'non-traditional' and multitasking.
Study suggests nutrient decline in garden crops over past 50 years

A recent study of 43 garden crops led by a University of Texas at Austin biochemist suggests that their nutrient value has declined in recent decades while farmers have been planting crops designed to improve other traits.
