Tower to be darkened in remembrance of Sept. 11

The Tower of The University of Texas at Austin will be darkened from sunset on Friday, Sept. 10 until sunrise on Saturday, Sept. 11 as part of a city-wide remembrance of the terrorist attack of Sept. 11, 2001.

The Tower of The University of Texas at Austin will be illuminated bright orange intermittently from 9:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. tonight (Wednesday, Sept. 1) for additional filming of aerial scenes of the main campus for a production to be used in promoting the university.
