AUSTIN, Texas—Dr. Robert G. Moser, Ph.D., an associate professor in the Department of Government of the College of Liberal Arts at The University of Texas at Austin, has been appointed the university’s 2005-06 William David Blunk Memorial Professor.

Dr. Sheldon Ekland-Olson, provost at the university, said the appointment carries with it an $8,000 salary supplement for the 2005-06 academic year. Moser also will have an additional $1,000 available for his use during the academic year in support of teaching and related activities on behalf of his students.

An ad hoc faculty and student committee recommended Moser for the appointment in recognition of his outstanding teaching.
