Faculty members selected for Dads' Association Centennial Teaching Fellowships at The University of Texas at Austin

AUSTIN, Texas—Four faculty members from The University of Texas at Austin have been selected to receive Dads’ Association Centennial Teaching Fellowships for the 2005 fall semester.

The fellowships provide honorariums of $2,500 for each of the recipients, including:

  • Dr. Brian A. Bremen, Ph.D., associate professor in the Department of English, College of Liberal Arts
  • Dr. John A. Fortunato, Ph.D., assistant professor in the Department of Advertising, College of Communication
  • Dr. Gary A. Hallock, professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, College of Engineering
  • Dr. K. Sata Sathasivan, Ph.D., senior lecturer in the School of Biological Sciences, College of Natural Sciences

The fellowships recognize the faculty members’ teaching excellence and commitment, said Dr. Sheldon Ekland-Olson, executive vice president and provost. He said they also acknowledge the many contributions these faculty members have made to the undergraduate experience for students at the university.
