“It’s Gonna Be Everything” Exhibit Opens Jan. 19 at Creative Research Laboratory

EVENT: "It's Gonna Be Everything" is a group exhibition of collaborative work made by the nine artists and founders of Okay Mountain: Sterling Allen, Tim Brown, Peat Duggins, Justin Goldwater, Nathan Green, Ryan Hennessee, Josh Rios, Michael Sieben and Corkey Sinks. The exhibit, artist talk and reception are free and open to the public.

WHEN: Opening Reception: Saturday, Jan. 19, 6-9 p.m.
Artist talk: Monday, Jan. 28, 6-8 p.m.
Exhibition: Jan. 19 -Feb. 9
Gallery hours: noon-5 p.m., Tuesday-Saturday

WHERE: Creative Research Laboratory (CRL), 2832 East Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. CRL is inside Flatbed World Headquarters.

BACKGROUND: This exhibition features collaborative work by the Okay Mountain staff originating from games, challenges or rules imposed on and by the group. Together they have created installations, drawings and videos as a type of metaphor for their joint effort in leading Okay Mountain.

Okay Mountain is an artist-run exhibition space in Austin founded in April 2006. Since its inception, Okay Mountain has succeeded in showing a strong combination of emerging as well as established artists from regional to international locales.
