Officials to Announce Gift for Dell Pediatric Research Institute

AUSTIN, Texas — The University of Texas at Austin will make an announcement on Thursday, April 24, at 11 a.m. regarding a leading corporate gift for the Dell Pediatric Research Institute.

Officials at the announcement will comment on the critical role the Institute will play in advancing pediatric research and clinical care and the importance of business and community support in addressing these important health-related activities.

The announcement will take place at the Patricia Hayes Conference Center (Sig Auditorium) at the Dell Children’s Medical Center of Central Texas, 4900 Mueller Blvd., in Austin.

Speakers at the announcement include:

• William Powers Jr., president, The University of Texas at Austin;
• Charles J. Barnett, president and CEO, Seton Family of Hospitals;
• State Senator Kirk Watson; and the generous contributors.

Following the announcement, officials and the contributors of the gift will be available to answer reporters’ questions. Parking for the news media will be available at the Dell Children’s Medical Center of Central Texas.
