Former American Heart Association CEO to Speak, April 21

Event: Cass Wheeler, the retired chief executive officer of the American Heart Association, will lecture on his new book, "You've Gotta Have Heart: Achieving Purpose Beyond Profit in the Social Sector," which has been described as a guide for nonprofits that wish to continue doing good in the most efficient and practical way.

The event, sponsored by The University of Texas at Austin Department of Advertising and Public Relations, is open to the public.

When: 3:30-4:45 p.m., April 21.

Where: Amphitheatre (Room 204) of the AT&T Conference Center at The University of Texas at Austin. A map is available online. Paid parking is available in the AT&T Conference Center Garage.

Background: Wheeler will give special attention to the communication efforts of successful nonprofits, such as the American Heart Association's "Go Red for Women" campaign to raise awareness of heart disease among women. Refreshments will be available before the lecture.
