Dominican Republic president visits IC2

Event: Visit of delegation of Dr. Leonel Fernández Reyna, president of the Dominican Republic, to the IC2 Institute at The University of Texas at Austin.

When: Sept. 30. Reporters should be at IC2 before 10 a.m.

Background: Reyna is visiting with Dr. Johnny Butler, director of IC2 and a faculty member of the McCombs School of Business, to explore technology venture incubation and regional growth acceleration. The IC2 Institute has been a leader in interdisciplinary cooperation for the purpose of transforming communities and countries to market economies. Since its inception, IC2 Institute has worked with the science cities of China on entrepreneurship projects in Japan, Poland, Egypt, Malta, Canada, Mexico and the U.S.
