LBJ School Faculty Member, Renowned Internet Policy Expert Gary Chapman Suffers Fatal Heart Attack

Gary Chapman, senior lecturer at the Lyndon B. Johnson School of Public Affairs, associate director of the Telecommunications and Information Policy Institute at The University of Texas at Austin and internationally recognized expert on Internet policy, telecommunications and technology policy, died of an apparent heart attack Dec. 14 in Guatemala, according to his family.

Digital Media Researchers Receive Grants to Collaborate with Portuguese Universities

University of Texas at Austin researchers together with collaborating Portuguese researchers have received six grants totaling about $1.5 million U.S. ($1.2 million Euros) from the Science and Technology Foundation of Portugal (FCT) to expand the presence of advanced digital media through educational and research exchange.
