The Division of Instructional Innovation and Assessment at The University of Texas at Austin will be renamed the Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL), effective Aug. 16, as part of an initiative by Executive Vice President and Provost Steven Leslie to strengthen the division's role in supporting educational excellence.

University students indicate greater course satisfaction with intensive classes than with traditional length 15-week courses, according to a recent University of Texas at Austin study.
