School of Nursing to Enhance Interprofessional Health Care Education with $1 Million Federal Grant

With almost half of Americans living with chronic health conditions, an interprofessional team approach is needed to provide coordinated, high-quality patient care that improves patient outcomes. The University of Texas at Austin School of Nursing’s efforts to achieve this goal was recently advanced by a $1 million grant from the Health Resources and Services Administration.

Nursing Training Grant Will Help Alleviate Primary Care Shortage

The University of Texas at Austin School of Nursing has been awarded a $350,000 grant from the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), an agency of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, to create an advanced education nursing trainee program to meet the growing demand for primary care services.
