Welcome to African American Nursing Students Association!

The African American Nursing Student Association (AANSA) is an organization for pre-nursing students, nursing students and graduate nursing students at the University of Texas School of Nursing at Austin. AANSA provides services in the community through health awareness, leadership, mentorship and volunteer services. AANSA is dedicated to increasing the number of ethnic minority students at the University of Texas at Austin School of Nursing by providing academic and psychosocial supports. AANSA strives to facilitate minority nurses in meeting the health care requirements of a growing ethnic minority population in Texas, as well as throughout the United States.
