Portfolio Programs

Graduate Portfolio Programs are opportunities for all graduate students to obtain credentials in a cross-disciplinary academic area of inquiry, e.g., aging and health, women’s and gender studies or disability studies, while they are completing the requirements for a master's or doctor's degree in a particular discipline.

A portfolio program usually consists of four thematically related graduate courses and a scholarly paper or research presentation. For master's portfolio students, a practical experience related to the portfolio program may be required in place of the paper/presentation. The Aging and Health, Integrated Behavioral Health, Women’s and Gender Studies, Disability Studies, and Health Communications may be of particular interest to graduate nursing students.
