Learning Center

Overview

The Learning Center strives to create an environment that encourages the development of each student as a learner and as one entering the nursing profession. The faculty and staff believe that the Learning Center is an essential tool that enables them to provide individualization in meeting student learning needs as well as a way to maximize the effectiveness of instruction through innovative teaching methods.

Monday - Thursday: 8 am - 9 pm
Friday: 8 am - 5 pm

Students can go to Campus Computer Labs for weekend use.

Services

Computer Lab/Instructional Resource Center: The computer lab and instructional resource center provides internet ready computers, an audiovisual collection of videos and DVDs, anatomy models, clinical equipment checkout, laptop checkout, a reserve collection of textbooks and course materials, and online research help. There are three preview/study rooms, a scanner, and a poster cabinet. Film rental and preview are also available for the faculty.

Simulation Laboratory: The Simulation Lab provides an environment for students to practice and demonstrate nursing skills. Students learn psychomotor, physical assessment, and critical thinking skills necessary for clinical performance.
