ABSTRACT: The Center for Health and Social Policy is a research center at the LBJ School of Public Affairs. The goals of the Center are to provide the highest quality policy analysis and scholarship on pressing health and social policy issues and to disseminate this information in a manner useful and accessible to decision makers and advocates. Key research programs at the Center include providing guidance and evaluation on the Texas Mental Health Transformation Initiative and the raising Texas comprehensive systems initiative to coordinate services for children ages 0 to 6 across the state. In addition, CHASP faculty member’s research focuses on issues related to health finance, aging, early care and education, and children in low-income families.
