BIOGRAPHY

Dr. Grimes rejoined the faculty in 2002 and teaches in the Holistic Adult Health Division. Research interests are in nursing education with an emphasis on student educational outcomes, retention and progression. She has published material on test-taking for those considering entry into nursing and is active in the study of outcomes from the use of interactive classroom technology. Research interests include identifying and fostering methods to overcome stressors that hinder student progression. For example, with Dr. Betty Skaggs, she presented a project on the use of streaming video for remote and dysynchronous skills testing. She currently chairs the Technology Enhancement Committee.
