BIOGRAPHY

Dr. Horner is an Associate Professor of Family and Public Health Nursing. She is also Assistant Director of the Southwest Partnership Center for Nursing Research on Health Disparities.

Dr. Horner's research focus is on families with children who have chronic illnesses. Currently her work centers on school-aged children with asthma, focusing on improving asthma management by parents and children. Her secondary research focus is on health promotion and risk prevention among school age and early adolescent youths.
