BIOGRAPHY

Shalonda Horton is currently a Clinical Instructor of Public Health Nursing at the University of Texas at Austin School of Nursing. Ms. Horton has been a registered nurse for over 12 years. Her diverse nursing experience has covered the following areas: oncology, medical/surgical, inpatient psychology, outpatient surgery, and post anesthesia care unit.

Ms. Horton was active duty in the United States Army Nurse Corps for 5 years. She now currently serves as a Major in the United States Army Reserves and teaches the Combat Medic Advanced Skills Training course.
