BIOGRAPHY

Trish O’Day is currently a Clinical Instructor in Public Health Nursing at the University of Texas at Austin School of Nursing. Ms. O’Day has been a registered nurse for over 20 years and has worked in public health, health policy, health care administration, managed care and maternal and child health nursing.

Ms. O’Day currently serves on the Board for the Austin Chapter of Physicians for Social Responsibility and is a member of the Hospital Data Advisory Committee for the Texas Department of State Health Services. Ms.O’Day is a member of the University of Texas Emergency Response Committee, and is Co-Chair of the School of Nursing Disaster Response Committee.

In December 2005, Ms. O’Day was appointed to the Board of Family Eldercare in Austin. She also serves on the Board of Directors for Lyons Gardens, a subsidized senior apartment complex in Austin.

Ms. O'Day represented the School of Nursing for 3 years (2005 to 2008) on the Education Council at the University of Texas Elementary School. She previously served on the Medical Assistance Program Advisory Board for the City of Austin (2002-2003) and on the Board of Directors of Austin Families, Inc. (1992-1995).
