Biography

Stacey Ward is a clinical instructor with expertise in adult diabetes management and critical care. She received her BSN from The University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio and her Masters of Science in Nursing from The University of Texas at Austin with a major in Holistic Adult Health Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS). She currently teaches in the alternate entry clinicals for Adult Health Practicum I & II.

Ms. Ward is a currently a member of National Association of Clinical Nurse Specialists (NACNS), American Association of Diabetes Educators, Austin Advanced Practice Nurses, and Sigma Theta Tau International.

Ms. Ward serves on the Board of Directors for Tx CNS (Clinical Nurse Specialists). She is the current chair of the Tx CNS Annual Conference for 2012 to be held in Austin, Tx. She has also served as co-chair and conference planning committee member of the Tx CNS for the past several years.

Ms. Ward’s CNS clinical practice experience includes work as an Adult Health CNS at Wilford Hall Medical Center ( an Air Force medical facility in San Antonio, Tx) from 2006-2011 as a member of the Adult Inpatient Glycemic Management Team. In addition she has supervised CNS students in her clinical practice.
