The faculty, staff, and students at the University of Texas at Austin School of Nursing are most appreciative of our preceptors’ willingness to share their knowledge and expertise. If you are a preceptor this semester, you will need to select and complete the appropriate form listed below.

Agreement and Information Form

For Capstone or Integration preceptors, please use the appropriate specific form. The Graduate Preceptor Agreement and Information Form form is for all other course preceptors.  

Preceptor Training Information

Preceptors at the UT Austin School of Nursing should have preceptor training.

  • For Preceptors with previous preceptor training: Please acknowledge you have previous preceptor training by completing the Preceptor Training Form (Online Form).
  • For Preceptors without previous preceptor training: Please complete the Online Preceptor Training Module (PDF).

Prospective Preceptor Information

If you are not currently a preceptor, but are interested in precepting in the near future, then please complete and e-mail the Prospective Preceptor Information form.

Tuition Exemption for Clinical Nursing Preceptors and their Dependents

Preceptors and/or their children must be Texas residents and must be enrolled at The University of Texas at Austin to claim exemption up to $500. Preceptor must hold RN licensure and be under a written preceptor agreement during the semester for which an exemption is sought. Dependent children must be enrolled in an undergraduate degree program. Student is no longer eligible if he/she has received this exemption for 10 semesters or summer sessions at any institution(s) or has received a baccalaureate degree.

Completed applications should be submitted to the Clinical Placement Coordinator, NUR 2.104U.
