Services
Now affiliated with CommUnityCare—Austin’s primary network of “safety net” clinics—the Family Wellness Center provides the following high-quality health care services to low-income, uninsured men, women, and children in Austin and Travis County:
- Acute illness care
- Well care and disease prevention
- Chronic disease care (diabetes, high blood pressure, asthma, heart disease, etc.)
- Laboratory tests and screenings
- Immunizations
- Endocrine consultation (including a specialized diabetes clinic with nutrition and clinical pharmacy support)
- On-site behavioral health evaluation and counseling services
- Referrals to specialty services
To schedule an appointment, call (512) 232-3900. Patient must live in Travis County and have Medicare or be uninsured to be eligible for services at FWC. You must have an appointment to be seen (no walk-ins). Office visits are based on a sliding scale that is determined by income and family size.
