Salvation Army Stores

The Salvation Army is a Christian non-profit organization.  “The Salvation Army is dedicated to caring for the poor, feeding the hungry, clothing the naked, loving the unlovable, and befriending the friendless.”  Services include: lodgings, meals, case management, employment services, counseling, family and child therapy, laundry, parenting classes, medical assistance, and other services.
Many homeless men, women and children come to the Salvation Army in need of emergency assistance. Basic Needs kits are provided for them. 

Some needed items include:

Adults: Underwear & white undershirts, Toothbrush & toothpaste, Razor, White undershirts, Tissues, Bras, Small hairbrush, Deodorant, Socks, Small shampoo and small soap, Nail clippers.

Infants: Diapers, pacifiers, powder, baby wipes, socks, baby lotion, baby bottle, diaper cream

Children: Washcloth, 2 children’s books, small toy, small soap, literacy game/activity book, coloring book, toothbrush and toothpaste, colored pencils or crayons.

Literacy/Fun Box: Yo-yos, children’s jewelry, card games, kites, stickers, stationery, balls, action figures, hair accessories, bubbles, cars, stuffed animals, travel games, beanie babies, board games, hats.

Take any of the above items to one of the stores listed below and label them as being for the Basic Needs Kits and not for sale in the stores. These items are given directly to the people in need.

Salvation Stores - the money from the sale of items from these stores goes to the Adult Rehabilitation Centers. Take donations to one of the following stores:

Salvation Army will also pick up items from your home. Call 416-0607 in order to arrange a pick-up.
