Batteries
All household batteries, including alkaline, nickel cadmium (Nicad), rechargeable, watch, camera, cell phone, laptop and other, similar batteries can be brought to the Learning Center Reserve Desk for recycling purposes. When a sufficient supply accumulates the batteries are taken to the Radio Shack in Hancock Center. The City of Austin picks them up from Radio Shack and takes them to its Hazardous Waste Facility.
