Computer Classes at the Learning Center

The Learning Center at the School of Nursing offers a variety of free computer classes on an "as requested" basis. These courses are designed to help students and faculty brush up on old and learn new skills. In addition, one-on-one training is available on request.

Computer Basics - Need a refresher on computer skills? Learn the essentials- key board commands, move around Windows and find on-line help.

Computer Maintenance - Keep your computer running at peak performance. This class will show you how to defragment your hard drive, delete temporary files and cookies and arrange files and folders.

E-mail & Listservs - Set up your UT email account and join university listservs.

Journal Articles Online - Have a research paper due? Need more sources? This class will teach you how to find full text journal articles online.

Resume Workshop - Learn to write a resume and cover letter that will get you a job or internship in the health care profession.

Software Focus - Expand your knowledge of popular computer applications. Each class focuses on different software programs including spreadsheet, powerpoint, word processing or what ever you need.

UT Direct - Learn to navigate and customize the UT Direct site. Pay bills, register for classes and read the latest headlines all from one site.
