Training Modules

Students and faculty,
You probably know only too well that Health Information Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) is in effect. We now have training modules for UT students that satisfies the various agencies in the area. Students also have Environment of Care (Seton and St David’s different ones) and Work Place Violence (Seton only) training that must be completed.

HIPAA training is available through eRes.
On any PC go to N000 and click on HIPAA.
There is no password.
Print out the last slide and take it to the Student Affairs office. They will note your
compliance with this requirement in their database. You might want to print an
extra copy and keep if for future courses as you will not need to repeat this
program unless the law is changed.

Environment of Care for Seton Healthcare Network and St David Partnership
facilities is also available through eRes.
On any PC go to N000 and click on EOC for the agency where you will be having
clinical.
No password is needed.
Print out the last screen and take it to your clinical instructor.
He/She will vouch for your compliance with the agency personnel.

Work Place Violence, which is available through eRes, must be completed for
Seton Healthcare Network facilities.
On any PC go to N000 and click on Work Place Violence
No password is needed.
Read, print and give the form to your clinical instructor.
He/She will indicate your compliance with the agency personnel.
