Leave of Absence and Semester Withdrawal

Leave of Absence

Graduate students seeking a Leave of Absence (LOA) must schedule an appointment with the Graduate Advisor in Nursing to discuss their situation. Please contact the Graduate Student Affairs Office to schedule an appointment (232-4701 or 471-7927).

Additionally, prior to meeting with the Graduate Advisor, please read the Office of Graduate Studies’ Leave of Absence Policy for details about LOA procedures.

In order to re-enroll a graduate student in Nursing, you must submit a Reapplication for Admission. If you wish to have your reapplication fee waived, you must have a signed copy of your approved LOA form on file with the Office of Graduate Studies.

Withdrawal

Graduate students seeking to drop all of their courses for the semester must complete a Withdrawal Petition and Refund Request Form.  The forms are available in the Graduate Student Affairs Office and in the Office of Graduate Studies.

Prior to withdrawing, students should schedule an appointment with the Graduate Advisor to discuss their situation. Please contact the Graduate Student Affairs Office to schedule an appointment (232-4701 or 471-7927).

Additionally, prior to meeting with the Graduate Advisor, please read the Office of Graduate Studies’ Withdrawal Policy for details about Withdrawal procedures.

In order to re-enroll a graduate student in Nursing, you must submit a Reapplication for Admission, unless you withdrawal only for a summer session.
