The Mexican Center at UT Fellowships

The Mexican Center of the Teresa Lozano Long Institute for Latin American Studies at the University of Texas at Austin announces Fellowships for the 2008-09 Academic Year.

If you are a student, faculty member, researcher or museum director, we invite you to apply for the following fellowships offered by The Mexican Center at the University of Texas.

The E.D. Farmer Fellowship is for students from the state of Texas who have completed two years of study and who wish to conduct research on Mexican issues. It is also for students who are Mexican citizens and who are currently studying at UT or who are applying for admission to the University. The deadline to receive applications is February 22, 2008.

The Republic of Mexico Solidaridad Endowed Presidential Fellowship is available for Mexican citizens who are currently pursuing graduate or undergraduate studies at the University. The deadline to receive applications is February 22, 2008.

C.B. Smith Travel Grant is available for professors, researchers and museum directors based in Mexico, which allows researchers at the postdoctoral level or beyond to study at the Benson Latin American Collection library on the UT campus for one or two week periods. The deadline to receive applications is March 28, 2008.

Grants for Summer Research is a fellowship for UT graduate students and faculty who wish to conduct research about Mexico during summer 2008. Preference will be given to those researchers who plan to conduct research within Mexico. The deadline to receive applications is February 22, 2008.
